Gigabyte Aero 14
The Gigabyte Aero 14 is a gaming laptop that stands out through the huge battery that ensures you will get many gaming hours as well as a great system. Since the Computex 2016 electronic show is approaching Gigabyte took this opportunity to unveil their Aero 14 and thus we know something about what to expect.
The gaming laptop Aero 14 comes with an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, support for up to 32GB of RAM through the two SODIMM slots (and you can choose one with 8 or 16GB of DDR4 2133 when you buy it) and a graphics card with either an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M or GTX 970M.
The other slots and connectors available are two M.2 SSD slots, three USB 3.0 type-A ports and one USB 3.1 type-C port. The HDMI 2.0, headphone jack and mini DisplayPort are also available and the Gigabyte Aero 14 has support for 802.11ac WiFi and for Bluetooth 4.1. The keyboard is backlit and can be adjusted with individual macro keys to optimize it for each game you play and you also get an SD card reader.
The developers mentioned the support you get for an optional USB-to-LAN adapter and the aforementioned battery will have a 94.24 Wh capacity which is considerably more than your typical laptop, ensuring that you can play for many hours even when you don’t have the option of recharging your battery.
With such a large battery, which the people of Gigabyte expect to last a whole day, the weight reaches around 1.89kg but the laptop is only 19.9mm thick so it is quite easy to transport when compared to other gaming devices. So far the price for it wasn’t unveiled but Gigabyte are usually quite competitive with their prices so this should be affordable for most gaming enthusiasts who want to upgrade their platform.
