The Walking Dead Season 3 Preview
Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead Season 3 will probably be released sometime later this year, once the developers complete the action packed Michonne story and Robert Kirkman, the original creator of the comic book series gave some insight into what to expect next with this great game.
As we saw in the Michonne series the developers brought many elements from the comic book to make the fans feel at home with the atmosphere and Kirkman said that The Walking Dead Season 3 will follow the same idea, setting it apart from the previous season.
The timeline for the third season takes place close to where the comics are (all-out war) and this means that the persons who only played the game without reading the books will have plenty of surprises. One thing that isn’t a surprise is Clementine, the protagonist of the second season, who will make a comeback here as well but it isn’t clear if she will be the main character or someone else.
The choice of jumping the story several years ahead was due to how Kirkman saw the overall development of the politics in The Walking Dead, once the war between two sides was over the relative peace might be less interesting as a tale and thus he decided to move on a few years in the future.
The Walking Dead Season 3 will come out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC but they might also launch it on other platforms as well (Xbox 360, PS 3, Mac, PS Vita, Kindle Fire, Android and Ouya were mentioned) and if Telltale Games are true to their word then we will have it available sometime later this year so stay tuned for more information about it once it is revealed!
More details will probably come out at the 2016 Comic-con but in the meanwhile be sure to check the interview with Robert Kirkman from IGN which you can watch here.
