The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine Preview
Considering how amazing the Hearts of Stone DLC was it is no wonder that everyone is excited to see what CD Projekt RED have in store for us this time with The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine, the second, and probably final, DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine will be released on the 31st of May 2016 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and it will take us into the land of Toussaint, the place where the greatest wine is made. Through this new land you get over 30 hours of content with new monsters, weapons and armors as well as a new deck of Gwent cards:
“Become professional monster slayer Geralt of Rivia and explore Toussaint, a remote land untouched by war, where you will unravel the horrifying secret behind a beast terrorizing the kingdom. With all trails leading to dead ends, only a witcher can solve the mystery and survive the evil lurking in the night. Introducing an entirely new realm to traverse, new characters and monsters, Blood and Wine is a 30+ hour adventure full of dark deeds, unexpected twists, romance and deceit.”
The gameplay mechanic was improved and you can dye your armor now. They introduced mutations, – 12 new abilities that are obtained through research. The user interface was redesigned, as well as the inventory and statistics page.
The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine really takes advantage of the New Game + free DLC (which allows you to restart the game with your previous gear and gold with a scaled difficulty) since the level cap is now raised to 100 and this will allow you to explore the mutations in much more detail.
In an interview for the Eurogamer, Marcin Iwinski, the co-founder of CD Projekt RED said that currently this is the final Witcher project they have in store and that “This is the end. Blood and Wine is the closing and there won’t be any Witcher any time soon – if there ever will be one.” Now we have a new trailer to get a better idea of what to expect and it really manages to put us in awe. Let us know what you think and don’t forget to share it to your friends on social media!
